What is a fragrance decant?
A decant is fragrance transferred from an original retail bottle into a separate vial or atomizer. The goal is the same—trying or carrying a smaller quantity—but the packaging is not the manufacturer's original retail packaging.

Which should you choose?
If you only want a very quick first impression, a small sample may be enough. If you want to wear the fragrance repeatedly, test it in different weather or settings, or carry it with you, a decant can be more useful.
A larger decant also gives you enough time to experience the opening, heart and dry-down across multiple wears rather than judging a fragrance from one spray.
What should you look for when buying a decant?
Look for clear disclosure about where the fragrance comes from, what size you are buying, how it is packaged, and whether the seller explains that the decant is independently rebottled. Transparent retailers should not imply that a third-party decant is an official manufacturer sample.
